TULSA FALLS IN OVERTIME AT ERIE, 98-96

ERIE, Pa., March 5, 2011— Guard Jerome Dyson scored a team-high 21 points and forward Marcus Lewis added 12 rebounds but the Tulsa 66ers (28-11) fell in overtime to the Erie BayHawks (25-13) by a 98-96 final Saturday evening inside Tulio Arena.

Despite the defeat, Tulsa remains in first place in the Western Conference.

Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa was Larry Owens and Latavious Williams with 14, Elijah Millsap with 12 and Robert Vaden with 10. Owens also added a team-high five assists.

The BayHawks, who were awarded the winning bucket by a Tulsa goaltending call as time expired, were led by Ivan Johnson with 39 points.

Defensively, Tulsa held Erie to 40-93 (.430) shooting from the floor, including 6-22 (.273) from 3-point range. The 66ers also collected 10 steals, helping rack up 16 BayHawk turnovers.

The 66ers return to the court next Friday, March 11, with a home contest against the Sioux Falls Skyforce inside the Tulsa Convention Center at 7 p.m.
